FOR JACKIE JESKO and BEN SELKOW
Jackie and Ben,
I put together samples (In the playlist below) of my work that might best reflect a more eclectic, synth driven, score. From what I understand about this project from conversations with Ben, and your vision, Jackie (as well as your Spotify playlist), I imagine music that is experimental and dark, yet inflected with a bit of teen-beat pop, fantasy, and tragedy. Dark Swoon seems like a good reference phrase here, and I’d like to explore that through digital and analog synths, a blend of other-world electronics and live orchestral recordings, mostly strings, some winds, harp and brass. Please let me know if you’d like me to create a cue or two - or talk more about direction.
